Course Materials and Resources

Over the next 1.5 days, Julie Parmax, who is a Chopra Certified meditation expert, will be guiding you in the practice of Primordial Sound Meditation (PSM). The PSM practice is very easy to learn, yet the impact and benefits it has on our physical, mental and spiritual lives is profound.

Meditation is one of the most, if not the most effective way to release stress, assist with restful sleep, improve understanding and communication within relationships and help revitalise your general energy and well-being.

In Primordial Sound Meditation, you use a person mantra (that will be given to you through a sacred ceremony on the first day of the workshop) to help take your awareness within. Your personal mantra (based on the time, location and date of your birth) is a pure vibration that allows your mind to settle into quieter levels of awareness and the field of infinite possibility.

This course is suitable for all beginners and individuals who might have delved into the art of meditation before.

During the workshop, you will:

  • Discover the ultimate purpose of meditation: to awaken to your true self

  • Explore the latest scientific research showing the benefits of meditation for your physical health and emotional well-being

  • Learn about the origins of the Primordial Sound Meditation practice and what makes it different from other forms of meditation

  • Receive your personal mantra based on your time and place of birth

  • Establish a daily meditation practice that will give you a lifetime of healing benefits

  • Cultivate self-compassion and creativity

  • Begin to break free of conditioned patterns of behaviour that prevent you from experiencing your full potential for fulfillment, joy, and peace

  • Explore and experience higher states of consciousness

  • Participate in 3 guided mantra meditations throughout the workshop and gentle yoga stretches to ease into your sitting or lying position in preparation for meditation.

  • Receive support, encouragement, and practical guidance as you develop your meditation practice through a FB message group.

*The Workshop is limited to 11 people to make it more personable and intimate.

The workshop runs for 1.5 days. The first session (full day) is on Saturday 2nd November 9-5pm and the second session (half day) is on Sunday 10th November 9-1pm.

Mantras ceremonies will take place between 9:00-9:45am, 12:30-1:30pm and 4:00-5:00pm at 15min time slots. Your mantra ceremony time will be issued to you the week prior to the workshop. If your Mantra ceremony is at the lunch time slot or afternoon slot, then you can arrive at the workshop at 9:45am. The workshop finishes at 4pm unless your Mantra ceremony is on an afternoon time slot.

What to bring:

A water purifier is provided, however we suggest you bring your own bottled water (just in case it runs out) and a cushion to make yourself comfortable during the meditation sessions as they are limited. You are free to lie down or sit during the meditation practice. The key is to be comfortable.

What you get:

Yoga mats, blankets, chairs, limited cushions, organic tea, coffee, and nibbles will be provided over the course. You will be given a notebook, pen and workbook to take home with you, along with some incense to start your practice and continue at home.
